Ask two people you trust
Your verifiers are the people who would let us know if something happened to you. We ask for two, and each one is asked to confirm the situation independently, so nothing can ever start on one person’s word alone.
What a verifier does, and doesn’t do
- They can tell us if they believe you have died or become seriously unwell.
- If one of them reports something, the other is asked to confirm the situation independently, without seeing what the first one said.
- They never see your messages, who they’re for, or anything you’ve stored.
- They can step down at any time, and we’ll let you know if they do.
